Jubilæum Tric is a new take on one of my favourite designs. The tailored fit at the shoulders transitions into a little more swing and movement around the body and hips; the wider contrasting frontbands flow from the collar and are knitted along with the body.
Additionally, the Tric triangle on the back has morphed into three sleek columns. Sideways rib cuffs echo the frontbands.
Oh, and there are also optional bust darts.
Jubilæum Tric is knitted in, a soft and luxurious yarn from Spun Right Round, Squish. The name is apt.
Everything, as per ziggurately usual, is knitted in one go, top to bottom with sleeve caps created along the way.
- top down
- no seaming
- set-in sleeves – caps knitted along with the shoulders
- frontbands knitted along with the body
A slight difference from original Tric where the knitting begins with the collar at centre back:
Jubilæum Tric is constructed more like a normal Ziggurat, starting with a cast on for back and shoulders. The collar is then worked into the mix before you knit the fronts, so that they and the frontbands can be worked seamlessly alongside each other.
As usual there is a Helpful Table to keep track of increases from shoulder to underarm cast on.
