One of 17 designs in the NEW Ziggurat book, Åsa Tricosa Ziggurats · Colour & Texture

Bobadille is my private protest against everything drab.
After (another) long, grey, dreary winter I simply yearned for colour.
An electric pink silk-mohair blend from DyeForYarn with a warm gold mohair from Isager was it.
Rike's fanciful orange-pink Bobadille pictured here has that same effect.
The classic Ziggurat design plays with a funky, cosy and luxuriant all over cable knit to almost tunic length.
While the cables don’t alter the normal ziggurat construction, but they do accentuate the body shaping. The flashy cuff is a playful talking point whatever length you choose to knit your sleeves – they add an extra flourish to any day.
- entirely seamless: everything is knitted in one go, top to bottom
- very few ends to weave in
- beautiful details: statement cuff · turtleneck · contrasting hem
- photo tutorials
As usual, there's the Helpful Table to keep track of increases from shoulder to underarm cast-on.

With the Ziggurat method you fashion a tailored and flattering silhouette – a yoke that sits and fits just right across your shoulders and with no bagging at the armholes.
- tailored & top down
- entirely seamless
- sleeve caps are knitted along with the yoke for a 'set-in' sleeve
- neck-shaping (also in back)
- built-in everything (pockets, buttonbands, seamlessly lined hems)
- absolutely minimal sewing in of ends
The Ziggurat Steps are instantly recognisable from one pattern to another.
