This is an extra bonus design in:
Åsa Tricosa Ziggurats: 18 elegantly seamless knits (eBook)
You can carry your own sunshine around!
Knit this relaxed but glowing Ziggurat with Curly Silk, a silk-rich blend from dibadu – or find your own favourite sunshine yarn.
Discreet shirring at the edge of the drapey funnel neck, hem and cuffs creates gentle waves on this relaxed pullover. Jolt of Gold is a slight variation on the classic Ziggurat construction, and begins with the collar. The softly sloping shoulders extend, each in turn from the collar. Cap and front stitches are picked up on right-side rows. Less zigging, in other words. But no less exciting. The glowing yellow colour makes a statement in any season. Or...go subtle with a more muted palette.
I'm delighted that has at long last relaunched Curly Silk. Hooray!
MoFluff from DyeForYarn is also perfect for a Jolt.
(both in Germany).
For extra comfort I knitted mine a size larger than usual – it's quite roomy. That is, when you choose your size, consider that ease is already built in to the pattern.
Jolt of Gold has sisters in other gauges: Jolt of Blue (25 sts) and Petrichor (31 sts) – all three are included in the eBook that complements the printed book (the eBook is available also separately).

With the Ziggurat method you fashion a tailored and flattering silhouette – a yoke that sits and fits just right across your shoulders and with no bagging at the armholes.
- tailored & top down
- entirely seamless
- sleeve caps are knitted along with the yoke for a 'set-in' sleeve
- neck-shaping (also in back)
- built-in everything (pockets, buttonbands, seamlessly lined hems)
- absolutely minimal sewing in of ends
The Ziggurat Steps are instantly recognisable from one pattern to another.
