This is one of 16 designs in:
Åsa Tricosa Ziggurats: 16 elegantly seamless knits
This casual, silken pullover is sophisticated and comfortably relaxed in equal measure. A subtle wavy texture is worked into the top of a slouchy funnel neck, and also at hem and cuffs – this prevents rolling and lends extra panache to boot. Petrichor (as its siblings, Jolt of Blue & Jolt of Gold), differs slightly from a classic Ziggurat by starting with the collar. The softly sloping shoulders then extend, each in turn, from the collar base.
The yarn: the sample was knitted in a now discontinued silky heavy lace from The Uncommon Thread with a slight sheen and wonderful drape, quite stretchy and flowing. If you are knitting with a firmer yarn, you may wish to knit one size larger. A less drapey or different yarn may also call for an unlined hem.
Petrichor has a sister: Jolt of Blue (25 sts).

With the Ziggurat method you fashion a tailored and flattering silhouette – a yoke that sits and fits just right across your shoulders and with no bagging at the armholes.
- tailored & top down
- entirely seamless
- sleeve caps are knitted along with the yoke for a 'set-in' sleeve
- neck-shaping (also in back)
- built-in everything (pockets, buttonbands, seamlessly lined hems)
- absolutely minimal sewing in of ends
The Ziggurat Steps are instantly recognisable from one pattern to another.
