For my own sweaters I have played around with sizes and yarns and also with the neckline:

  • the brown/grey sweater is knitted in size 5 with Léttlopi, an aran weight yarn knitted at a gauge of 19 sts 
  • the red/natural sweater (also size 5) is knitted with Hillesvåg Sol, a yarn that knits up to DK weight despite running to 290 m (317 yds) per 100 g – knitted at a gauge of 20 sts
