There is also an aran version of this shawl – Abraxas Vertex II.
(Both are included in the eBook)
If you are purchasing Abraxas Vertex I & II as invidual patterns, there is a reduced price when they are bought together.
Abraxas Vertex is knitted from tip to wide border to make an asymmetric triangle – growing little by little, two steps forward, one step back.
A simple cable pattern lends an intuitive rhythm to the knitting and makes for a nicely, squishy texture. A contrasting border in mistake rib is knitted along with the body and this rib also completes the shawl in a generous final border.
The pattern is written out row by row and is also charted. There are separate instructions for knitting from charts.
eBook subscribers get an invitation to watch a video introduction to Chapter 1 – I talk about the two designs in the chapter, and you’ll get some tips and hints about yarn choices & techniques.
