Jadeite

Jadeite is one of 16 designs in  Åsa Tricosa Ziggurats: 16 elegantly seamless knits

This slouchy cardigan in divine Gotland Aran from The Little Grey Sheep has quickly become a favourite.

The aim was to design a cardigan for slouching around in. The sample cardigan is knitted one size larger than usual, for an extra-relaxed fit and also on larger needles.
There is no waist shaping (you can, of course, add some if you wish). The contrasting wedge on the cuff makes another appearance here but can be skipped altogether if you prefer a simpler look. But I would not forgo the pockets. Note to the brave: the pocket is advanced knitting. It can easily be substituted with a more basic afterthought pocket, or you can omit it altogether. But do you really want a world without pockets?

The Little Grey Sheep Gotland Aran is a seemingly miraculous yarn. It warms without weighing you down or adding bulk. Here, I have gone up a needle size from what I normally use with this particular yarn, to produce quite a lofty fabric. Hampshire DK, also from Little Grey Sheep, knits to a similar gauge.
