Coucou
Coucou is one of 16 designs in Åsa Tricosa Ziggurats: 16 elegantly seamless knits
(available from Shephardess & other stockists)
Coucou is an adorable, slightly flared Ziggurat, featuring a contrasting cable neckline, a tuck, and a dainty pocket.
Sleeves are three-quarter length and finished with a contrasting cable like the one framing the neck.
There are various options for the tuck: a two-coloured triangle tuck for intrepid knitters; a plain tuck for those who are less adventurous; and a more easily accomplished gather.
Coucou is knitted with Suilven from Ripples Crafts. Another magic yarn blend, Suilven has wonderful lustre and drape, the kind of drape that neither clings nor loses its shape. Perfect for the little tuck at centre back.
The sample in size 36 is knitted without bust darts.

Just started this one yesterday. I saw you on Fruity Knitting and i’m So intrigued by your techniques! I bought the eBook, thank you!
Oh, fun! If you need some support or wish to show off, you are welcome to stop by the Åsa Tricosa group on Ravelry (there’s a thread for each pattern: here’s the Coucou discussion).
Hi Asa,
I just love this pattern.
I was wanting to knit it in the move colour.
Can you please tell me the colour of the Yarn?
Many thanks,
Lidia Neurauter
Hello there!
The lighter of the two contrast colours on the green Coucou?
That is Carnations.
The darker (cuffs) is Red Red Wine.
If you are referring to the purplish sweater without contrast colours, that is Rohrspatz & Wollmeise Pure in the colour, extrem romantisch.
Thank you! Love your designs!
I have just finished the Mayhem Cardigan. It’s just beautiful!
Regards, Lidia
Thank you, Lidia!
